More Hope for More People is much more than just raising the necessary finances to construct buildings. As our Senior Pastor Jason Pettus, has reminded us so often, this is about the spiritual growth that will occur at Living Hope. Expanded facilities provide a way for us to fulfill our mission, to help people Get to God, Grow in Christ and Give to Others. We seek to be a Community of Faith, Connecting to God, and Caring for the needs of the world.
This prayer guide is a companion for you and your family as we spend the next several weeks together seeking God's will. It is our hope that this guide will help you to explore worship in two ways; through prayer and giving. Both reflect our total dependence God.
Prayer unleashes our potential. Praying through the Scriptures is one of the most powerful methods of prayer. Journaling what God says to you as you meditate is a very strong reminder of your dependence on him. Space is provided with each day's entry for this purpose.
Giving is always about our need to honor God - not the church or God's need to receive. God invites us to partner with him in what he is doing. Giving is more proportional than practical. What value does God ascribe to the gift? It is proportional to the value of the gift to the giver. If it isn't valuable to you, you will not be able to convince God it is valuable to him.
Giving yourself to God in this way will accomplish what the More Hope campaign is all about - changing lives.
